I still find it hilarious how Ken Akamatsu ran for office on a platform to prevent this, only to find out that the party he joined would probably prefer to just outright ban anime instead.
Sometimes it seems like not even a lot of Japanese fans understand how other Japanese people perceive this particular hobby.

Hee-Ho doesn't really do a good job conveying the topic title at times. He should've started with something like "Disney japan exec says anime tones itself down to appeal to westeners".
